The Ottawa Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada is proud to present the 17th annual 65 Roses Gala – Clue to a Cure on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre.
Presented by Karma Creative Solutions, this year’s Gala will bring together our love of great food, great friends and our insatiable love of all things mysterious….
Help us solve a long-standing, deadly mystery. Follow the clues and unravel the riddle against cystic fibrosis. The clock is ticking for EVERY Cystic Fibrosis Warrior, and lives are literally in YOUR hands. Help us close the door on this case…forever.
The mystery begins at the start of the evening, and continues until the clock tolls ten. Through process of elimination, determine which suspects, which weapons and which locations are no longer under suspicion, as you find, buy, and win clues! Tell us WHO wielded WHAT and WHERE against our long standing foe and that despicable public menace, cystic fibrosis.
Due to Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Infection Prevention and Control Policy, only one person with CF may be invited to attend a Cystic Fibrosis Canada hosted indoor event. This year – we have TWO CF Ambassadors! Brother and Sister, Joe & Katie McElhinney, host the gala in person – and members of our CF Community join us via our brand new DrugSmart Talk Bar! If you can’t join us in person, grab a webcam and join us online, for a chance to participate in the fun.
Join in the mystery, live or online, win incredible prizes, and experience an evening unlike any other, solving clues and saving lives…
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. It is a multi-organ disease, primarily affecting the lungs and digestive system. Cystic fibrosis touches the lives of many Canadians. Every week, two Canadians are diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and one Canadian dies from this devastating disease. Cystic fibrosis is a fatal disease and there is no cure.
But investing with CF research makes a difference. Since 1960, the median age of survival has risen from 4 to past 50 years of age. Sadly, this still means that only half of those with CF will reach their late forties. We need your support in order to fund life-giving CF research that is making a real difference for thousands of Canadian families.
There are approximately 4,000 Canadians living with cystic fibrosis who receive specialized care at one of the 42 clinics across the country generously funded in part by donors.
Representing our CF community at this year’s Gala, we welcome Joe and Katie McElhinney. These amazing siblings understand the impact CF has on day-to-day life, for themselves, their families and the community at large.
Buy yours today for a chance to win this beautiful jewellery set from Devine Fine Jewellery, valued at $1835. More info…
